Affordable drugstore highlighters and matte lipsticks review

Hello my beauties, welcome back to my blog!!
You know those days when you go to your local Target and walk down the makeup aisle just to see whats new..thats me everytime and I do not come out empty handed lol. So this year I feel like Wet n Wild and Elf have been stepping up their game in so many levels. Can we just first talk about how incredibly pigmented their products are and their packaging keeps on getting better and better.

Drugstore makeup in general has been around for years but for some reason Wet n Wild and Elf along with a few other drugstore brands have always kept their cosmetics extremely affordable while other brands keep going up.
Something I really love about Elf cosmetics and WetnWild is that their prices are always consistent and their products just keep getting better.
I was literally able to buy 3 highlighters and 2 lipsticks for less than $20!

The first products I will show you are these pinky nude lipsticks from Wet n Wild. The top shade is in the color Wineroom and the bottom is in the shade In the flesh. As you can see in the picture Wine Room is a lot more pink and vibrant and In the flesh is more of a lighter neutral pink color. These lipsticks dry out matte but dont leave your lips too dry as other matte lipsticks would. They are only 2 dollars each and come in 26 different shades.

The first two highlighters that I will show you are by Wet n Wild cosmetics. The top shade is in the color Crown of my canopy. I was going back and forth between weather or not to pick this shade up because as you can see it is very gold and orange looking and not very much my style. The last thing I want is to look like a cake face bronzed up clown lol. But since I love playing with new makeup I had to get it and let me just say that I was very wrong about this shade. It might look super dark, especially for my skin tone but when I put it on it looks stunning. Especially at night time! This is the perfect shade to wear to a party or simply going out at night. You can build up the color and even match it with some brown tone eyeshadow on your eyes so it wont look too harsh.
The second highlighter is in the shade When the nude strikes. The formula of this highlighter is very creamy and the packaging is a rolling stick. It is a very beautiful highlighter with pink undertones. It looks very pretty in natural daylight and at night. It lasts a very long time. I feel like both of these highlighters pop out more if you spray some makeup setting spray but both are buildable and apply easily.

The last highlighter is by Elf cosmetics in the shade Moonlight pearls. First of all, look at the packaging!! Love it! This shade is more on the white tone side but has a light amount of pink undertones in my opinion. It is a very beautiful shade as well. I did notice that with this highlighter you definitely have to build it up if you want it to be intense. I also realized that you kind of have to dig through the first layer to get to where most of the pigment is. In general I am very pleased about it because I love the fact that you can build it up little by little.

So that completes my mini drugstore review. Let me know on the comments down below or tag me on instagram @biancaerrisuriz which one of these you have or would like to try out.

Thanks for reading, and until next time!
